Welcome everyone from ICLW! This is my little corner of the internet and I invite you to look around and stay for a while.
I'm April. I'm married to P. I have an 11 year old step-daughter, The Young'un. We have been trying to add to our family since 2007. We've recently begun seeing Dr. Cool, whom I kicked in the head at my HSG. I've also been avoiding the office for the last 2 months because of various things in life that have interferred, like work, vacation, and a general unhappiness that's hit me the last month or so. I attribute the unhappiness to lots of friends having babies and us well, not.
10 things about me
1. I crochet. I've recently begun experimenting with lace weight yarn.
2. I have dogs, 3 of them to be exact. The smallest is 45 lbs and the largest is 80lbs.
3. I hate to dust. Detest it actually. I'll take extra turns at loading the dishwasher to get out of dusting.
4. It's the same thing with vacuuming.
5. I love to bake and I'm happy that fall is coming quickly so that I can start baking again.
6. I'm tempted to put out my Halloween decorations already.
7. My favorite musical is "Phantom of the Opera" and I finally saw it this past weekend.
8. My favorite TV shows are "How I Met Your Mother", "NCIS", "Glee", and "House". I watch two of those online each week because they all have the same time slots on the days they air.
9. I love to read and have been going through at least 1 book a week for years. Usually it's two or more.
10. My favorite day of the week is Saturday, even though it tends to be the busiest day of the week.
So there you have it. Welcome and please come back and visit again!

I love your little about me :O)
Since I'm about 7 out of 10 on these, I think its safe to guess that i'll like following your blog.
Like learning more about you! Kicking the doc in the head totally seems like something I would end up doing!
You'll have to stop by my blog sometime and give me some suggestions on books to read. I love to read, but find it hard to pick something. Lately I've tended to find series and working my way through them (Harry Potter, Twilight, and I'm on book 8 of 10 in the Southern Vampire Series right now). Not always into fantasy books like these, but lately it's what I've been picking up for some reason.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I also love Glee and I crochet too! Happy ICLW!
I'm so proud of you for such an appropriate reaction to an HSG! I wish I'd thought of that. Seriously.
I'm sorry that you've been down lately. I think reading and Glee are healthy ways to stay sane amid the ick that is IF.
Thanks for your nice comment today, April.

You and I sound a lot alike. I've only just started learning to crochet but I love it :)
I've never kicked a Dr but I have punched a dentist, does that count?
Love the 10 things about you! I too love to crochet although I only know one pattern. I read as much as I can get my hands on, and listen to different books on my commute! I can't wait to read more of your posts!

Hi - so lovely to meet you :) I laughed at the fact that you kicked your Dr in the head - that's awesome! I'm sure it was an accident, but it's something I've often longed to do...and a few midwives' heads too...xxx
Great list - you are so talented - baking, arts & crafts - i try but I'm a bit of a disaster!
Sunday is always one of my least favorite days because I spend the whole thing thinking of Mondays!
Happy ICLW - thanks for visiting and commenting!

You my friend, need DVR! :)
Also, I hate to dust. HATE.

I love those shows too! I'm pretty sure the TTC storyline on "HIMYM" is going to be pretty tough to watch this season, though.
I'm also looking forward to it being cool enough to bake again! I love filling the house with yummy smells!
Happy ICLW!

I love the 10 things about you list. I HATE dusting, too. You should be able to do it once and be done forever!
Happy ICLW...thanks for visiting my blog.
My husband and I just started watching the past seasons of "mother" on DVD, so we're catching up. I got my mom hooked on Glee earlier this summer. :)
I'll have to dig through your blog to learn more about your dogs since I'm a total dog person. I have 2, and would have more if I thought it was practical with our life. (and if my husband would allow it!)

Over from ICLW - we have several things in common - I love to bake too! And my kids are the four legged kind.

100% agree about dusting, what a pointless task, everything is dusty again the next day anyway - especially if you open windows.
Phantom of the Opera is my absolute fav. I got to see it when I was single with very few bills. The ticket was nearly $100 but was worth EVERY dime!!

Hi april. It was so nice to found your blog and hope to get to know you more. I pray for all of us to have a child of our own. God Bless,
Hiya, thanks for stopping by my blog. I was wondering why you need to wait till fall to start baking? I love baking, and if i get a chance, I do it almost every week or so (and it has started to show on my belly and on my hubby's cholesterol levels).
Sorry about AF...a new cycle = new hope? I know, after a while, even the hope starts getting old. ICLW # 52
Returning your ICLW visit! I love to read too. If it wasn't for work I'd go through multiple books a day!
Love that someone else wants to put up decorations early - lol. I keep telling myself just one more week, then I totally give myself permission to ghost-up the place ;-)
Happy ICLW!
I am amazed at how many fellow crocheters pop out of the woodwork in Blogland...it's awesome!!!
HAPPY ICLW #90
happy iclw (#31). hope you can get back in the stirrups soon. i too am in kind of a sad funk right now, but know brighter days will come.
Love Phantom of the Opera and I definitely don't think it's too early to put up the Halloween decorations (I bought christmas decorations yesterday and those are going up early november!!). I look forward to following along your journey!
