The holidays are nearly upon me again. Yet again, I face another year childless. Yet again, I'll have the looks and questions from well-meaning relatives. The difference? This year I'm not going to let it get to me. Or if I feel like it is getting to me, I'm going to have a glass of wine or similar adult beverage and ignore them as best I can. This year, I'm determined to have a good holiday season that doesn't leave me feeling like the loser in the genetic lottery. I will find my happiness in the season.

Hi. I am a new follower to your blog. I just want you to know that us blogging IF buddies are here for you, through good and bad days. I had a really rough patch last week with upcoming holidays. We all have different ways to make it through. Sending thoughts your direction.
I plan to do it up for the holidays too! I'm right there with you. I am going to go nuts with the decorations too, my husband doesn't quite have a grasp on how over the top I am going to go... :) and from there all of the fun adult holiday fun I can handle.
Hugs.

The holiday season is hard, not just because of infertility, but because of the pressure we feel to be perfect: the perfect cook, the perfect hostess with the perfect home, the perfect wife, the perfect mother...
I am so glad to hear that you are willing to let go of, or at least try to ignore, these pressures and simply enjoy your holiday.
Sarah's Laughter (www.sarahs-laughter.com) had this to say in today's Daily Double Portion:
If you cannot give thanks because of the situation you are in this Thanksgiving, offer thanks for the amazing God who gives us the privilege of offering thanks for Him.
You are in my prayers this holiday season!
Hi, I'm here from the ICLW list. Holidays are so hard! It sounds like you've got a great mindset going into it this year, though. Best of luck!
i am so with you!! last year i was miserable and it did no one any good.... if i have to have a glass of wine everyday to get through it, so be it! i am going to follow along, and maybe we can cheer each other through any possible tortures.
xoxo

Hi! Coming to visit from ICLW (#70). I will be trying like you to not let it ruin my holidays. I think I'll be ok with today because we won't be around kids but Christmas will be tough if we don't have our BFP by then! Have a great day!
I have an award for you on my blog!
Hi from ICLW! The holidays can SUCK but we just need to hang in there and appreciate all the drinking, sleeping in, and celebrating we can do without worrying about a babysitter. I know it isn't much, but it's something. :)
